Busy busy busy. Managed to finish two project I’ve been meaning to do since Thanksgiving: prune the apple trees and build a compost barrel. Apparently I’m solar powered. After one day of sun, my productivity increased ten fold.

If you’ve never pruned a tree before (like me), it weird. I probably could have done a better job. But even my ham fisted attempt was amazing. In a matter of hours, a tree that looked like a bramble bush on a stilt turned back into a tree. The branches moved with the wind. Light could sign through to all the branches. (Hopefully that will get rid of the lichen.)

I’m not going to tell you that trees are magic or that faeries dance around toadstool rings at night, but trimming those trees did something. Maybe it is as simple as my subconscious trying to tell me that the trees are how they are supposed to be. I don’t know.

Wish me luck. We’ll see how these babies do!
